Call for Paper: Special Session on “Video and Image Processing (VIP)”

February 11, 2013

CFP Visualización

Artificial neural networks are proved to be successful in performing several cognitive, industrial and scientific tasks. This special session is aimed to cover a wide range of works and projects on video and image processing using neural networks or other bio-inspired models. We hope that this session can provide a common forum to exchange ideas and the latest discovery in the area.

This special session is planned to be organized within the 12th International Work-Conference on Artificial Neural Networks (IWANN 2013), which will be held in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife (SPAIN).

  •  Learning algorithms and theory
  • Vision processing
  • Image Segmentation
  • Tracking of objects
  • Pattern recognition
  • Hardware implementations
  • Machine vision
  • Image characterization
  • Feature extraction
  • Computer vision
  • Image compression
  • Image understanding

Original manuscripts should not exceed 8 pages in the LNCS Springer-Verlag format. Submissions will be accomplished through the contributions/submission section at the conference webpage. All presented communications will be included in the proceedings of IWANN’13, which will be published in the Lecture Notes on Computer Science (LCNS) series. It is also foreseen the publication of an extended version of selected papers in a special issue on several specialized journals (such as Neurocomputing, Soft Computing and Neutal Proccesing Letters).
